COMPUTER MUSIC WORKSHOP
6-10 October 2025
Parma • nCRAM
Teacher: José-Miguel Fernández
The computer music workshop will focus mainly on the use of the synchronous programming language Antescofo, developed at the IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique) - Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The topics covered will include an introduction to the Antescofo language using the Max software, aimed at creating a concert patch, and an overview of the AntesCollider library, which uses the SuperCollider software as a platform for audio synthesis and processing.
Special attention will be paid to the use of a centralised electronic score and the integration of the Antescofo language, which, in addition to the score following function, allows the writing, control and synchronisation of parameters, treatments, processes (multi-temporal, multi-modal...), spatialisation and other media (video, lighting, etc.).
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with the necessary skills to develop their own artistic, compositional and technological work, discovering or deepening the tools currently available for real-time interaction between performer and computer, in the context of concerts, installations, performances, theatre, dance and performing arts.
Maximum number of participants: 6
Registration fee: € 500 per person
We kindly inform you that, once the registration is confirmed, the participation fee cannot be refunded in case of withdrawal or inability to attend.
